Why only ITM / ATM / Near-OTM (≤2%)?This planner restricts itself to strikes at or below the current stock price (ITM), at the money (ATM), or no more than 2% above it. Deep OTM covered calls rely on the stock rising to the strike before expiration — a price-appreciation bet, not a reliable income strategy. Deep OTM scenarios are excluded intentionally.
